Adult Protective Services
The Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA) will handle all reports of alleged abuse against persons with disabilities aged 18-59 who live in domestic (non-institutional) settings. Pursuant to Public Act 98-0049, this responsibility transferred to IDoA from the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of the Inspector General. In addition, IDoA continues to respond to reports of alleged abuse, neglect or financial exploitation of persons 60 years of age and older living in the community. Adult Protective Services Program.

Caregiver Interfaith Volunteer Services (CIVS)
Provides volunteers to assist in the following:
Caring companionship and visits; Transportation and escort for the appointments and shopping; Shopping for persons no longer able to leave home; Minor home repair and home maintenance help; Respite Care - Relieving a primary caregiver 2-3 Hours a week or on occasion.

Memory & Aging Network
SIU Memory and Aging Network providers serve as consultants to individuals, families and family physicians. After an evaluation, and only if the patient consents, a report and recommendations are sent to patient's physician. Individuals then continue with their own physician for ongoing medical care.
