Assistance with Ramps & Home Modifications/Accessibility Audits

SCIL's Access Coordinator administers a wheelchair ramp program for rental units or home owners meeting Federal Poverty guidelines in the City of Springfield. This program is grant funded through the city of Springfield. Residents can request a ramp to be built on their home at no cost. SCIL sometimes utilizes volunteers to build ramps. This is a very popular program and may require names to be added to a waiting list.

SCIL's Access Coordinator provides complimentary Accessibility audits and ADA Consultations to businesses within SCIL's Five County Service Area. If you are interested in this service, please call SCIL two weeks in advance to schedule an appointment with Starla Norris, Access Coordinator.
