Birdies for Charities
SCIL Launches New Fundraiser!
SCIL has officially been accepted as a participant in the LPGA State Farm Classic Birdies for Charity Program.
This program gives participating charities the opportunity to generate contributions for their organizations based on the number of “birdies” made by LPGA Tour players Thursday through Sunday during the LPGA State Farm Classic. SCIL will receive all pledge money received during this fundraiser. The LPGA does not deduct any money for administrative fees.
There has never been a more critical time in SCIL’s history to increase its fundraising revenue to support and maintain services so desperately needed by people with disabilities. Budget cuts by the State of Illinois last year required staff to take furlough days and some staff positions were eliminated or work hours were reduced to accommodate the loss of needed funding. Our financial security is at risk if SCIL faces additional budget cuts during this next fiscal year. We hope everyone reading this will want to participate in “The Birdies for Charity Program” for SCIL. Please keep in mind that all donations to this fundraiser are tax deductible.

You may choose to pledge as little as one penny per birdie, or make a flat donation! Because this is a direct link for SCIL, you will automatically go to a form with SCIL’s name on it! It’s easy! If you give a flat donation, your credit card will be debited that amount immediately. If you pledge a “per birdie” amount your credit card will be charged after the tournament is over and the amount of birdies has been established.
We also have pledge forms available at SCIL if you prefer not to donate online! We will be happy to mail one to you! Give us a call at: (217)523-2587 v/tty and let us know you want to participate! You may also stop by our SCIL office and fill out a form!
